Our School Song - Kō Matau tells about our values and our sense of togetherness:
Kō Matau, te roopu, E tu atu nei.
E karanga kia koutou, Haere mai ra
Mauria mai tō aroha, Kia piri tonu mai
Kō Tapanui te kura E tu atu nei.
Our school is well positioned in the township of Tapanui, West Otago with the Play Centre, Kidzway Early Learning Centre and Blue Mountain College situated alongside. We are nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains and have an idyllic view of the surrounding countryside from our school grounds. Tapanui is a member of the Pomahaka Kāhui Ako.
SCHOOL CHARTER & ANNUAL PLAN
Each year we have to complete our school Charter. This gets approved by the Board usually at their first meeting of the year. This document sets out the strategic direction for the school over a 3-year period. Every third year we hold a complete a review of the Charter. The last consultation was completed in 2019 and the next is due in 2022.
A copy of the current Charter is available here.
