Welcome To Tapanui School

Tapanui School is a learning community where 'Together we learn and grow'. Our main focus for teaching and learning programmes are the needs of the children and their learning. Our vision is that students will become confident, connected, actively involved, lifelong learners.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Tahnee Carters who will be teaching with us in 2012 on a 12-month fixed term contract. We welcome Tahnee to the team at Tapanui School as she takes on the position vacated by Liz Waples.

We are a well resourced contributing school catering for students from Year 1 - Year 6. We started 2011 with 86 students and the roll is predicted to reach 109 students by the end of the year. Tapanui School has a positive, caring culture with students and staff working co-operatively and respectfully and people comment on this when they visit our school and classrooms.

Our Decile 7 school is well positioned in the township of Tapanui, West Otago with the Play Centre, Kidzway Early Learning Centre and Blue Mountain College situated alongside. We are nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains and have an idyllic view of the surrounding countryside from our school grounds.
